What are some ways to make the pen more fluid?
1.Clean your pen. Thoroughly. When you think it is clean clean it more. heh. IT’S NOT. If the section easily comes apart do that and soak it, overnight if need be in warm (not hot, warm) water, a few drops of dish soap helps but them make sure to rinse it when done to get the soap out as well. Be patient.
2.Use an ink that is known to be easy flowing. Visconti Blue, Aurora Black, Diamine Midnight, Diamine Asa Blue. etc.
3.Some folks have taken to adding a tiny amount of photoflo to inks that flow poorly. Like dipping a toothpick in it and adding that. I don’t do this and wouldn’t but you might if you have a dry ink you love and happen to have photoflo around.
4.Check the web, there are videos on how to stress your nib to make it flow better, I don’t want to be the one to instruct you on it but there are instructions out there.
5.In a pinch you could send your pen to a pro to have the nib and feed adjusted for flow.
